Soo won't be a powerhouse like they were last year. New coach, as Hartsburgh is off to Ottawa, however Danny Lambert, his assistant is behind the bench, and he is a good coach, he's a players coach, the players like to play for him, he's had success when Hartsy was away during the WJC. We have a promising young goalie here, Bryce O'Hagan. He could be a very good goalie. They brought in Guelph backup St. Jacques to help him out a bit, but expect to see O'Hagan get the bulk of the starts. On offence, looks like Lyall and Caria will be back as OA's. Campbell will likely be back as OA on defence, and he will be their best d-man. If you saw his performance in last year's playoffs, you will see what I mean, he was their best D-man. They are all in training camp. The Soo drafted Jeff Beukeboom's kid, Brock his year. Supposedly, he is a decent d-man, but the book is still out on him. With all the losses due to graduation, they won't have the same scoring punch, but they have a decent defence and a good goaltending tandem and that should pay dividends. They will make the playoffs, but they won't contend for the division, the Spits should be the best team in the division or a championship this year. It's going to be an interesting season.
